The aims of the Kia TÅ« - Pathway Planning micro-credential Trades programme are for rangatahi and second-chance learners to:

Research and understand their background, identity and culture.
Develop a coherent sense of work and life direction.
Understand the education and training pathway needed to achieve their preferred work and life direction
Develop the ability to present their pathway plan to whanau, family and other supports
Progress to undertake key training required for their pathway

Throughout the programme you will learn about:

Must be over 16 years old, not in education or employment.

On successful completion of this programme you will be able to:

Understand their place in the world, and influences on their pathway, through research and gathering of whanau stories that make their world meaningful
Demonstrate awareness and orientation to the world of work and adult life, through participating in korero sessions
Describe workplace and training settings in a variety of contexts
Ask questions to understand the reality of work and training
Research and identify the qualifications and skillsets needed to form their career pathway
Create and share a plan that outlines next steps in their transition to adulthood
Identify alternative career pathway options (2-3)
Prepare and deliver a presentation using appropriate social conventions to an identified audience
